The Øresund Aquarium in Helsingør is a cosy and educational saltwater aquarium run by the University of Copenhagen. The aquarium focuses on the life of the local marine environment, giving visitors the chance to get up close to the fascinating marine life of the Øresund.
With both indoor tanks and outdoor touch pools, the Øresund Aquarium offers interactive experiences for both children and adults. Here, you can see everything from colourful fish and octopuses to crabs and starfish – and even touch some of the animals yourself. The aquarium also organises boat tours, lectures, and educational programmes throughout the year.
