Randers Art Museum, founded in 1887, is one of Denmark’s oldest art museums and an independent, state-recognised institution. Centrally located in Randers, the museum houses an extensive collection of around 4,000 works, representing Danish visual art from the 19th century to the present day.
The collection features prominent artists such as L.A. Ring, Vilhelm Hammershøi, Kurt Trampedach, and Julie Nord.
The museum is renowned for its current special exhibitions, which often challenge and provoke. Notable examples include "The Women's Modern Breakthrough" and "Nordic Waste" by Brian Kure.
Randers Art Museum is an integral part of the city’s cultural centre and offers a range of activities, including late-night openings with free admission on the last Thursday of each month, as well as art school programmes for children and young people.
